H.E. Paul H. Farquharson QPM present his Letters of Credence as non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of France

The Embassy of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas is pleased to announce that on Thursday 2nd July 2009, His Excellency Paul H. Farquharson, presented his formal Letters of Credence to His Excellency Nicolas Sarkozy, President of the French Republic, accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas to the French Republic, with residence at London.

Ambassador Farquharson presented his Letters of Credence during a short ceremony at the Elysée Palace in Paris, the official residence of the President of the French Republic.  Ambassador Farquharson was accompanied at the ceremony by Ms. Nicole Archer, First Secretary/Vice-Consul, Bahamas Embassy.

Following the ceremony the Ambassador paid a courtesy call on H.E. Monsignor Fortunato Baldelli, Apostolic Nuncio, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps.  Ambassador Farquharson also held meetings with officials of the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, to discuss matters of mutual interest to The Bahamas and France.
