Prime Minister Ingraham Attends a Bahamian Breakfast in London

The Rt. Hon Hubert A. Ingraham, Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, was hosted to a Bahamian breakfast at the Residence of the High Commissioner, H.E. Paul Farquharson, and Mrs. Sharon Farquharson on Wednesday, 30 June. The Prime Minister, who was on his return from an official visit to South Africa, was accompanied by the Hon. O.A.T. Tommy Turnquest, Minister of National Security, and the Hon. Charles Maynard, Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture.

In attendance at the breakfast were employees of the three Bahamian Government Offices in the United Kingdom, the Bahamas Maritime Authority, the Bahamas Tourism Office and the Bahamas High Commission.  Also present were the Chairman of the BMA, Mr. Ian Fair and the Director, Commodore Davey Rolle.

The Prime Minister entertained questions from the Bahamian employees on matters ranging from the Bahamian economy and the economic recession, to the proposed Maritime Yacht Registry and the further development of the country.  An enjoyable morning was had by all and the Prime Minister enjoyed his time interacting with the Bahamian community in London.
