The Bahamas and Germany Conclude a Tax Information Exchange Agreement

The High Commission is pleased to announce that on 12 December 2011, the Exchange of Instruments of Ratification regarding the Agreement between the Commonwealth of The Bahamas and the Federal Republic of Germany on Assistance in Civil and Criminal Tax matters through the Exchange of Information, took place at Bahamas House between H.E. Paul Farquharson, QPM, High Commissioner to the Court of St. James, and H.E. Georg Boomgaarden, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The Agreement between the Commonwealth of The Bahamas and the Federal Republic of Germany on Assistance in Civil and Criminal Tax matters through the Exchange of Information, signed at Nassau on 9 April 2010, shall enter into force today, in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 2 of Article 13.
