Presentation of Credentials to the Kingdom of Belgium

We are pleased to announce that at 12noon on Wednesday, 13 March 2013, H.E. Mr Eldred E Bethel was received in Audience by His Majesty King Albert II, King of the Belgians, during which time Ambassador Bethel handed over his Letters of Credence accrediting him as non-resident Ambassador of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas to the Kingdom of Belgium. The ceremony took place at the Royal Laeken Castle in Brussels, Belgium. Accompanying Ambassador Bethel was Mr Frank Davis, First Secretary & Consul in the Embassy, based in London.

During his two-day visit to Brussels the Ambassador called on various dignitaries, including the Chief of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Ambassador Pierre Labouverie; the Chief of Protocol of the European Commission, H.E. Mr Nicolas de La Grandville; and His Excellency Archbishop Giacinto Berloco, Apostolic Nuncio and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in the Kingdom of Belgium.  The Ambassador also visited the Office of the Honorary Consul of The Bahamas to Belgium, Mr. Albert-Jean Niels.
