Bahamas Attends 95th Session of ACP Council of Ministers and 37th Session of ACP-EU Council of Ministers, 11-15 June 2012, Port Vila, Vanuatu

His Excellency Mr. Paul H. Farquharson QPM, Ambassador of The Bahamas to the European Union, is currently leading a delegation to the Meetings of the ACP and ACP-EU Council of Ministers, taking place in Port Vila, Vanuatu.

The meetings, which conclude on Friday 15 June 2012, are considering a number of important trade and development cooperation issues between the European Union and the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Group of States. These issues include migration and development, performance and review of the 10th European Development Fund, and trade cooperation in the areas of bananas, sugar,cotton, cocoa, kava, and tobacco. The Ministers will also exchange views on the Rio+20 Conference.
