Bahamas High Commissioner Joins IMO in Celebration of World Maritime Day 2015 at its headquarters in London

His Excellency Eldred Bethel with IMO Secretary General Koji Sekimizu at the World Maritime Day celebration at the International Maritime Organization’s headquarters in London.

Secretary General Sekimizu in his address stated that,

“Shipping is vitally important to the global community, playing a key role in sustainable
development. 

The world depends on a safe, secure and efficient shipping industry; and the shipping industry depends on an adequate supply of seafarers to operate the ships that carry the essential cargoes we all rely on.”
