Dear Friends,
I think that you all know that all good things must and eventually come to an end.
My diplomatic mission in this glorious capital Is no exception. I will be relinquishing my post as High Commissioner to the Court of St. James’s on 31 July, 2017 and will be returning to The Bahamas.
As a result of just a change and until the appointment and arrival of a successor, Ms. Allison Booker, Deputy High Commissioner, will discharge the duties of ChargĂ© d’Affaires.
In the few weeks between now and 31 July, it will not be possible for me and Dawne to shake hands in farewell with as many of you, dear friends, as I would have wished. Nonetheless, I shall always treasure and cherish the memories of each and every one of our encounters, both official and personal.
Until we meet again, please accept my warmest remembrances.
Ed Bethel
