Queen Baton Visit Bahamas High Commission in London in Honour of 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games in Nassau, The Bahamas July 2017

London United Kingdom, On 14th March 2017 the Queens Baton arrived at The Bahamas High Commission carried by the Gold Coast 2018 Team to mark the lead up to the 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games in Nassau Bahamas 19 through 23 July and the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia. The Team was greeted by His Excellency Eldred E Bethel, High Commissioner, and Mrs. Louise Martin CBE, President of the Commonwealth Games Federation. The Queens Baton was then presented to High Commissioner Bethel by President Martin followed by remarks.

Nassau, The Bahamas:The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has officially launched its new polycarbonate E-Passport system. The launch of the system took place Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Passport Office on Thompson Boulevard.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, the Hon. Frederick Mitchell said this new system would expedite the processing of passports, noting: I look forward to greater customer satisfaction as a result of faster processing times.
