VOTER REGISTRATION
The Bahamas High Commission is now open for Voter Registration for Bahamians eligible to vote Overseas.
Please be advised that only Bahamian staff posted to a Bahamas Embassy, High Commission, Permanent Mission, Consulate, Bahamas Maritime Authority office and Tourism Office and their spouses, as well as Bahamian Students studying abroad, including first time voters, are eligible to register at the High Commission.

Seminars to Assist Grand Bahama Residents Following Hurricane Matthew
Freeport, Grand Bahama – A series of Post Crisis Seminars, jointly sponsored by the Ministry for Grand Bahama, the Grand Bahama Port Authority and the Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce, will be held in Grand Bahama on Thursday, November 3 and Friday, November 4, 2016, to assist residents with their restoration efforts both personally and professionally.

Nassau, The Bahamas, In a ceremony on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) on Gladstone Road, Mark Holowesko, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Investment Officer and Director of Holowesko Partners Ltd. presented a cheque in the amount of $50,000 to NEMA and pledged another $50,000, once the need is identified, towards local relief and restoration to repair the damage of recent Hurricane Matthew.

BAHAMAS AIRPORT CLOSURES DUE TO HURRICANE MATTHEW
Airport closures for The Department of Civil Aviation in conjunction with the Airport Authority of The Bahamas and following consultation with the Department of Meteorology, advises the public that the following airport closures will go into effect on Tuesday and Wednesday the 4th and 5th of October, 2016, as a result of tropical or hurricane force winds emanating from Hurricane Matthew:
