The Bahamas and European Union Hold Talks During Bahamas Diplomatic Week
As part of The Bahamas Diplomatic Week, the Government of The Bahamas and the European Union held their first ever Cotonou Agreement Article 8 dialogue. The talks were led by the Honourable Frederick A. Mitchell, MP, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration for The Bahamas, and Ambassador Paola Amadei, Head of the European Union Delegation to The Bahamas.

Bahamas Diplomatic Week Heads of Mission Luncheon with Prime Minister
Nassau, The Bahamas — The Prime Minister attended a Diplomatic Week Heads of Mission Luncheon, October 22, at Melia Nassau Beach Resort. Diplomatic Week of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the first of its kind and features a number of events with participation from Bahamas Heads of Missions who are in Nassau for the landmark occasion, and members of the diplomatic community residing in The Bahamas.

High Commissioner Bethel and BMA Join IMO Secretary General in Celebrating World Maritime Day
The International Maritime Organization celebrated World Maritime Day 2014 and marked the occasion with a diplomatic reception at its London headquarters. His Excellency High Commissioner Eldred Bethel and Bahamas Maritime Authority Director Mr Davy Rolle at the event congratulated Secretary General Koji Sekimizu for the work of the IMO.
